Description
The 13 Whiskey DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) Bolt Carrier Group combines reliability, with durability and quality manufacturing. The bolt is made from Carpenter C-158 steel, shot-peened, and high-pressure tested. The gas key is staked to MIL-spec and features grade-8 hardware. The carrier is also DLC coated as well. The extractor is made from S-7 tool steel. Includes improved extractor spring and o-ring insert.
DLC is an extremely durable coating and is resistant to chemicals and corrosion. Typical Rockwell hardness is greater than 90 which makes DLC grader than Nickle Boron and the typical Nitride QPQ/Melonie finishes that are most common. In addition to the increased durability, DLC has an extremely low friction coefficient making for a very smooth action. Additionally, the low friction means very little additional lubricant is needed for proper operation.

Very nice BCG, easy to clean, and looks really good. The finish is slick with a slightly grey color. I have not had a chance to put a lot of rounds on it as of yet, but I am interested to see if this really holds up. So far so good.
